We are currently looking for a Commissioning Specialist to join our growing company in Vancouver.
HH Angus has been collaborating with building owners, architects, and contractors for many years to deliver projects in Vancouver and across the province. Completed projects include Royal Inland Hospital, Phil & Jennie Gaglardi Patient Care Tower, Lions Gate Hospital power plant replacement, Penticton Regional Hospital David Kampe Tower Phase I, commissioning of the TELUS Kamloops Data Centre, Royal Jubilee Hospital Patient Care Centre and Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa. Current major projects include the decarbonization of Creative Energy's downtown Vancouver district energy steam plant, compliance engineering for Royal Columbian Hospital Phases 2 and 3, the new Burrard Exchange office tower at Bentall Centre, Cowichan District Hospital Replacement, and ongoing mission critical facilities work for TELUS.

The Commissioning Specialist will report to senior manager in our Technology Division. This will be a key role for the maintenance, assembly and reporting functions for commissioning services on building projects from small to large scale complexity.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage commissioning projects as directed, for buildings and projects of different sizes and complexities
- Provide excellent project management and commissioning services
- Prepare documents and report all commissioning data for projects, and deliver to the appropriate department
- Communicate with clients on design and schedule requirements, while developing scalable systems to create efficient processing and reporting data on future projects for the firm
- Attend job sites to verify that installation meets design intent, and collect crucial information and report results
- Stay abreast of forecasting requirements to meet individual contract assignments without unnecessary cost overruns
- Serve as the main source of correspondence and manage filing system for reports and projects
- Work with project engineers and architects to survey sites and verify condition, as well as the safe operation of equipment to draft comprehensive reports
- Be prepared to provide diagnostic support on different projects and troubleshooting where needed
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 7 years of commissioning experience
- Graduate of a technical college or university program is required
- Good reporting and presentation skills with an excellent ability to project manage
- Experience in the engineering field
- Fundamental working knowledge of HVAC systems
- Knowledge of building codes and standards
- Superior database development knowledge for effectively collecting and reporting information
- Adept at working under pressure, staying organized and focused
- Excellence in achieving project schedules and time deliverables
