We are currently looking for a Library Technician to join our growing company.

The Library Technician reports directly to the Senior Manager with extensive experience in our Records Management Group and works with several team members who have a strong base of knowledge and industry experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing the collection of documents (paper and electronic) including drawings, specifications, shop drawings and other engineering documents for archiving and records
  • Performing document control and storage for designated active projects including filing, protection, retrieval retention and destruction of records
  • Maintaining the HH Angus library collection including subscriptions
  • Engaging in specialized research as requested
  • Performing project documentation management, including documentation retrieval and coordination between project web portals and team members
  • Assisting Project Managers with clerical project tasks such as monitoring shop drawings and RFIs, and creation of reports for supported projects
  • Creation of training materials to support Knowledge Management initiatives
  • Other duties as required

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree or diploma in a Library Studies-related program
  • Experience in Records Management an asset
  • Good practical experience with MS Suite
  • Adheres to quality standards and emphasizes the need to deliver quality services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Keen learner with a self-starter mentality
