An exciting new opportunity has come available in our Angus Energy Division for a Senior Manager.
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a company with an excellent reputation in the consulting and engineering industry. The Senior Manager will report directly to the Divisional Director of the Energy Division and oversee large projects, and manage several team members who have a strong base of knowledge and industry experience. Our market sectors include healthcare, commercial, entertainment, education, campus and cities. The digital transformation we help enable for our clients make an impact on the spaces in which we work, live and play.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leads, manages, and mentors a team of 4 to 6 engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver projects on a timely basis
- Develops policy and implements strategy for short-term results (1 year or less)
- Primarily responsible for managing, retaining, and developing staff members
- Identifies and staffs projects either directly or through Project Managers
- Acts as a primary relationship manager for a select group of clients
- Monitors status of projects through Project Managers
- Engages in performance management cycle for direct reports
- Responsible for project billings of team
- Responsible for financial performance of the projects that they invoice for
- Develops proposals and pricing
- Achieves financial/operational targets aligned with divisional results
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Must have a P.Eng preferably in Mechanical Engineering or comparable field
- 8+ years of Consulting Engineering experience
- Must have experience in managing staff members and Projects
- Ability to travel is required
