Visual Communications Design Lead - Marketing - Toronto, Ontario, Canada

We are currently looking for a Visual Communications Design Lead to join our growing team. 

Reporting to the Director, Sales Enablement, this will be a key role in designing and executing strategic and tailored marketing solutions to support and enable our business development and firm-wide activities.

You will have strong design vision and experience combined with a client-centric approach to developing marketing and sales content across a range of channels and formats – websites, print materials, presentations, video, podcasts, events and more. Key responsibilities:

  • Be the visual communications subject matter expert working collaboratively with our communications, business development, proposal, and engineering and technical consultants (Operations) to proactively design and deliver tailored and compelling marketing collateral and campaigns
  • Drive the collateral development process (presentations, pitches, tailored brochures, digital content and more); includes synthesizing a high volume of stakeholder inputs, defining a story framework, mapping content to key messages and directing data visualization
  • Build and deliver focused multi-channel content marketing and sales campaigns through visual storytelling – which includes thought leadership content, social media, website content, and more. You will own and drive our editorial calendar which will involve surfacing content from members of our Operations team that will be of value to our clients and the broader industry
  • Work closely with our proposal team to identify value propositions and provide visual/art design direction to support the development of client-centric and winning proposal submissions
  • Provide guidance and best practices to business development, proposal, and operations teams with respect to creating marketing materials that effectively communicate our value proposition
  • Opportunity to be involved with firmwide branding and design initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, consulting, innovation, research, and marketing team members against strict deadlines
  • Perform advanced document and presentation design
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction to the satisfaction of internal clients
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control processes required to produce quality work product and timely deliverables
  • Maintain an internal best-in-class library of creative marketing materials/approaches

Who you are:

  • 7+ years’ experience in graphic design, marketing, or communications
  • Excellent visual design and communication skills
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to quickly understand the services we offer and what our clients value – possess a client-centric mindset
  • Be curious and possess the ability to explore flexible ways to communicate our message utilizing various channels, formats and technologies
  • A self-starter, with a track record of managing multiple simultaneous projects and delivering on tight deadlines
  • Can prioritize multiple tasks and comfortable generating as well as listening to ideas
  • Have the ability to lead, engage and collaborate with individuals across various disciplines, cultures and backgrounds to achieve a shared goal
  • Attention to detail, ensuring high quality of output, and strong organizational skills
  • Previous experience in AEC and professional services industries is an asset
