Adrian Rybak

Adrian is an Associate Director with responsibilities in leading, managing and mentoring a team of engineers, designers, CAD staff and project managers. He also develops and evaluates system concepts and options to determine optimal systems that prioritize occupant comfort, indoor air quality, and long-term reliability.

Adrian’s consulting experience includes mixed-use residential/retail/office towers, base building services, design/build projects, unit replacements, tenant work, VRF design, kitchen exhaust, and building electrical and heat cogeneration. A strong advocate for energy-efficient and sustainable design, Adrian consistently incorporates strategies that reduce building energy consumption and operational costs. His work emphasizes right-sized equipment selection, heat recovery, high-performance envelope integration, and demand-controlled ventilation, ensuring systems are both cost-conscious and environmentally responsible. He is experienced in balancing first-cost investments with lifecycle value, guiding clients to solutions that align with budgets while delivering long-term performance benefits. As well, Adrian trains and mentors his team, contributes to cascading BIM upgrades throughout the firm, and helps to expand our presence in Quebec.

Adrian loves to ski in winter and mountain bike in summer. A U.S. transplant, he is enjoying his recent move to Canada by experiencing all things Canadian, including: poutine, ice skating, axe throwing, curling, cottaging, craft beer and cheering on the local sports teams.
