Harry Angus

P.Eng., Principal

“We understand that our business – what we do and produce, how and why we do it – needs to change in order to increase our value to clients and partners. That can mean taking on greater responsibility, oversight and research, as well as application of financial and management skills, in order to help our clients compete successfully.”

Harry Angus

Harry is the third-generation Angus to be involved in managing HH Angus and Associates, founded by his grandfather in 1919. Harry served as President of the firm from 1985 to 2019, and subsequently as Board Chair, helping to guide the firm’s growth and mentoring the next generation of engineers and city builders. His leadership has seen the firm through decades of rapid, dynamic change in consulting engineering and construction alongside our clients and partners. Harry sees great opportunity in change: “We understand that our business—what we do and produce, how and why we do it— needs to change in order to increase our value to clients and partners. That can mean taking on greater responsibility, oversight and research, as well as application of financial and management skills, in order to help our clients compete successfully.”

Harry was involved in many of the firm’s ground-breaking projects, such as the SkyDome (now the Rogers Centre), the CAMI automotive plant and, more recently, he helped lead the introduction of Angus Connect into our growing skill set.

Away from work, Harry chaired the McMichael Collection board, enjoys cooking, and builds furniture using trees milled on his own sawmill.
