Gold Recognition for the Montréal Metropolitan Airport Terminal

The new YHU Montréal Metropolitan Airport Terminal has received Gold Certification at the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN.

Presented in the Interior Design discipline for Transportation: Stations & Infrastructure, the recognition celebrates the terminal’s thoughtful combination of operational efficiency, sustainability and passenger experience.

GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN is an international competition headquartered in Québec that recognizes excellence, creativity and innovation across multiple design disciplines.

HH Angus provided mechanical and electrical engineering and vertical transportation consulting for the 225,000-square-foot terminal. Designed to serve more than four million passengers annually, the fully electrified facility features nine bridged aircraft gates, modern passenger and baggage-processing systems, and welcoming, lounge-style spaces.

This Gold Certification reflects the collective vision, collaboration and hard work of the entire project team. Congratulations to Porter Airlines, Scott Associates Architects, PCL, and all the project partners—and to our HH Angus team

And there could be more to celebrate! The project is in contention for two additional honours.

The Award of the Year will be determined by a select international jury and announced live at the Awards Gala in Montréal on October 8.

The People’s Choice Award is decided by public voting. Voting is open until September 20 at 5:00 p.m. ET. If you’d like to cast a vote for the Montréal Metropolitan Airport, simply click on the link below and sign in or create a free account to cast your vote:
