Edward Hood

Engineering Director, Health
Edward is an Engineering Director and Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Health Division of HH Angus, specializing in the design of plumbing and medical gas systems and preparation of tender documents. His work is focused primarily on hospital and long-term care facilities, with additional experience in data centre design. Edward is involved in projects from conception to completion, including design development and specification documentation, including numerous P3 project pursuits. He also provides mentoring, training and support for staff across all HH Angus divisions.
Edward is a CSA Technical Subcommittee Member on CSA Z7396.1, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems – Part I, and CSA Z7001 – Safe use of energy-based medical and surgical devices in health care; a Technical Committee Member of CSA B125 Series, B45 series, CSA B64 Series and CSA B356; and associate member of ASPE. Edward joined HH Angus in 2010, bringing previous experience designing plumbing, medical gas and fire protection systems.
In his free time, Edward is an avid cyclist, riding mountain, cross and road bikes, and also enjoys family runs with his wife and children.
